In this project, each student got a word mark, a claim and a logo, which were designed by their classmates. Out of these three elements, we had to establish a fictional company and come up with a corporate design for it. In my case, I got the word mark of Basil Hefti, the claim of Tatjana Skakavac and the logo of Anna Messenger. When I saw all of these three things together it was clear to me that I would be doing a corporate design for a company that organizes events. I changed the claim and the logo a little bit and adjusted the kerning of the word mark. Therefore, the claim has become a friendly invitation rather than a loud warning and the logo a new realization, which now shows a hidden smiley.
In diesem Projekt hat jede*r Studierende eine Wortmarke, ein Claim und ein Logo zugelost bekommen, die von Mitstudierenden gestaltet wurden. Aus diesen drei Elementen musste man eine fiktive Firma bilden, wofür man anschliessend das Corporate Design gestaltete. In meinem Fall habe ich die Wortmarke meines Mitstudenten Basil Hefti bekommen, den Claim von Tatjana Skakavac und das Logo von Anna Messenger. Als ich diese drei Sachen beisammen hatte, war für mich klar, dass ich ein Corporate Design für eine Firma machen würde, die Veranstaltungen und Anlässe organisiert. Den Claim und das Logo habe ich etwas abgeändert und für die Wortmarke wurde nur das Kerning ein wenig angepasst. Aus dem Claim ist eine freundliche Einladung geworden, statt eine laute Warnung und aus dem Logo eine neue Umsetzung, welches jetzt ein verstecktes Smiley zeigt.
